Sunday Social Club

Sunday Social Club is a dream of a global creative community connected through sports. The brand identity blends cues from the good old country club — monograms, badges, apparel as a key way of belonging — with a contemporary perspective.

At the core of the identity is a sense of calm and community inherent to Sunday gatherings. The brand initials flow into each other like waves to create an elegant monogram. The wordmark, loosely spaced to emphasize the intentionality of all three words, is sourced from Herbert Bayer’s universal alphabet, carrying forward an idealistic, if imperfect, vision of unity, dreamed up a century ago at the Bauhaus. Goudy Oldstyle — think J. Crew’s logo — is the supporting typeface, bringing a literal touch of that old style.

The intriguing and only slightly ridiculous imagery was developed to slowly unveil the brand in style.
